Ian began his real estate career as an estate agent in the UK before relocating to Canada, where he has proudly served the Burlington area since 1982. With decades of experience and deep local knowledge, Ian is known for his straightforward, no-pressure approach — offering honest guidance that helps clients feel confident and supported in their decisions.

Over the years, Ian has built strong, lasting relationships within the community, with more than 80% of his business each year coming from past clients and referrals. This speaks to the trust he’s earned and the care he brings to every interaction. Ian is blessed with a wonderful family, including his three married adult children — twin daughters and a son — and nine cherished grandchildren. He values time spent with family and remains deeply connected to the community he has served for over four decades.

Originally from the UK, Abi immigrated to Canada in 1990 and began her real estate career in 2005. With a strong background in the corporate world, she brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to every client relationship — balanced by an easy-going, approachable manner that instantly puts people at ease.

Whether clients are buying their first home, moving up to accommodate a growing family, or downsizing into the next chapter, Abi is known for her insight, steady guidance, and genuine care throughout the process. She believes real estate is, at its core, about people, and her commitment to exceptional customer service remains her highest priority.
Abi lives in Burlington with her husband, David, and is proud to be surrounded by family — including her two grown children, Ethan and Alex, her son-in-law Joe, and her beloved grandchild. Outside of real estate, she enjoys travelling, bike rides, and spending meaningful time with those she loves.

Sarah grew up in Grimsby, where her family has resided for over 100 years! Sarah’s desire to help people, her interest in home design, and her love for meeting new people make Real Estate the perfect fit for her.

Sarah and her high school sweetheart, now her husband, currently reside in Burlington with their two cats. She is a board game and outdoors lover, but mostly loves spending time with family and friends.

Laura Vandette

As a native of Sault Ste. Marie, it didn’t take Laura very long to fall in love with Hamilton – first as a renter in 2011, then as a proud homeowner in its Crown Point neighbourhood since 2014. Now, Laura’s goal is to make sure every person who chooses Hamilton has the same positive experience as she and her husband have had since calling the city home. Laura has more than 11 years of experience in the Real Estate industry, from interior design to helping Real Estate brokers recruit quality agents, to investing in rental properties and now buying and selling homes for clients as a licensed sales representative.
In her free time, Laura enjoys gardening, spending time with her two pups, and she and her husband enjoy seeing more of the beautiful country by motorcycle or exploring beyond Canada’s borders.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Born into the business, Liz is no stranger to the Real Estate world, growing up with her father being a Realtor. She is currently pursuing her Real Estate license and assists the Bright Realty Team wherever needed. Liz’s lighthearted and fun personality makes her a perfect addition to our team.
Liz is a mother of 2 teenage girls and an adorable puppy, and when she’s not in the office, you can find her with family and friends, or out in the garden.

Tanya Batagelj
CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST
Having always loved Real Estate, Tanya started in the Keller Williams Edge Realty Brokerage in 2014. It was her warm, bubbly and enthusiastic personality that prompted Ian and Abi to invite her to join the Bright Realty Team in 2017, and she has been a wonderful addition ever since. She handles the behind the scenes of our busy Real Estate business, as well as manages the fine details with our clients. Our clients often note Tanya's contagious personality and professionalism.

Tanya resides in Ancaster, where she has been a local for 16 years, with her partner Terrence and 2 children Kiana and Remy.

Angela Lehman
MARKETING MANAGER
Angela brings over three years of global marketing experience to the team, with a strong foundation in content creation, digital strategy and client engagement. She handles our social media presence, advertising, event planning, and everything in between. She holds a Bachelor of Business, and her professional marketing experience spans the hospitality and building industries, beginning in Sydney, Australia.
When she's not helping out behind the scenes, she enjoys being outside in nature, travelling and spending time with her friends.
